K-Town Trippin'

Its finally WINTER BREAK!!!!!!!! FACK.

I just pulled 4 all-nighters so that I could get crap done for my classes (2 projects for the same teacher). You know when you do projects, there's always that ONE PERSON who's a crap group member? I had one in BOTH CLASSES. OMFG.

But that's okay, because ITS OVER. YES.

To kick off winter break, me, my siblings, cousin, boyfriend and my cousin's boyfriend went on a trip to K-town for KBBQ and dessert. Wednesday night there was an accident involving a gas truck on the 60 highway, so there was MAJOR traffic on our way there (we took the 10 W). And then we had to take a detour to get to the restaurant because the road I wanted to take was closed, and you KNOW taking a detour in LA is a bad idea.

It took us an hour to get to a restaurant that normally takes me 30 minutes tops.

We went to Ma Dang Sae BBQ, where the parking was craptastic (we had to bribe a valet in the next parking lot so we could park there. :D). We stuffed our faces with beef, pork, and brisket for the next 1 1/2 hours before we almost burst, and then we went on our way to eat dessert.

There's this fabulous place in Korea Town on 6th St. called HAUS Dessert Boutique, which I went to with my classmates after dinner one time. They are famous for their crepe cake, which always manages to run out when I go, so it was no surprise when I asked and they didn't have it again! I think I need to go during the middle of the week or something. Instead, we ordered these:

My sister Elizabeth ordered the Dulce de Leche cake, which tasted like a caramel cheesecake. It probably was.
My other sister Justine ordered the HAUS Hot Chocolate. Its hot chocolate, so not much to say. We think the art on top is probably a garlic bulb. Or an onion.
Melissa and Ricky (her man! Lol), order the Petite Boston Cream Pie. In her words, "it was too filling."
Elizabeth and I shared a Pomegranate-Blueberry Tea.
I ordered the Chocolate Truffle. Its basically a chocolate cheesecake with fudge topping and a brownie crust. Too much chocolate! I'm probably not going to order this again (it was good though).

The waitress was really nice and gave us complementary ice cream since they ran out of crepe cake and this milk-shaved ice that Elizabeth wanted.

Total bill: $37.09

Don't come here unless you have money. And only come for the crepe cake or the tea (its AMAZING).

Overall, we had a pretty good night. Got home around 10pm (even with traffic), and am now food-coma-ing.

Until next time!

Everyday I'm Nuzlocke-ing!

Hey there everybody, I haven't updated my blog in FOREVER.

So right now its finals time at school and I have a butt-load of work to do before I go on break, and I am THIS close to ripping my hair out because one professor I have is high/mighty and unreasonable. He gives stupid excuses for the amount of work he assigns.

"I'm a UC teacher! I teach like this all the time, so just because this is a junior college doesn't mean you guys get less work."

PSH.

Dude, even if I do go to community college, its a COMMUNITY college for a REASON.

I have this guy for 2 classes. He assigns the same project for both, and his History class is essay format.

What?Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

FML.

On a different note, I have FINALLY started to work on my Pokemon Nuzlocke challenge. For those of you who don't know what this is, its a normal game of Pokemon with different rules.

The basic rules are:
1)Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
2)The player may only catch the first Pokemon encountered in each area and none else. If the first Pokemon encountered flees or faints, there are no second chances.
Info courtesy of Bulbapedia

You also typically name your Pokemon when you catch them. BTW, I'm doing HeartGold version.

I also managed to finish some art of my current team, which I have been meani
ng to do for AGES. Check out the others on my deviantart account: fenghuanglady

They are: Sulien the Eevee, Faith the Dratini, and Amaretto the Flaaffy. All artwork was done on OneMotion Sketch with a mouse (like a BOSS. A poor boss who can't currently afford a graphic tablet. You know what to get me for Xmas.)

You can make your own art at OneMotion by clicking on this link here:

Until next time!

Inner Peace

Hey everybody! I haven't posted anything in a while, and boy have a lot of things happened since then!

My super awesome cousin came to visit for 2 weeks before starting her first year at UC Irvine in the fall, so for the first time ever, we got to go out constantly and hang out at places we normally wouldn't! Our aunt is getting married in October, so we went dress browsing at a bunch of different places, though my favorite has to be Windsor (both at the Santa Anita and West Covina malls).

I also introduced her to an awesome buddy of mine, and they got along great. We're planning to do a lot more hangouts with her and my regular hangout group when she's on break. We went to Koreatown for some KBBQ at Ma Dang Sae (I recommend it!) and attempted to head up Angeles Crest, but we kind of got lost (we couldn't find the place). Lastly, today we went to the cheap theater (Academy 6) in Pasadena and watched Kung Fu Panda 2 with my sister. I can't wait for the 3rd one to come out (it better!) But it was fun! I'm definitely going to miss her since she's leaving for home tomorrow, but I'm glad that I got to see her before she
goes off on her own into the wide world. Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

On another note, these past two weeks have been really stressful for me in terms of my current relationship with a really special person. There's too much background story and personal information to go into detail, but let's just say it seems like my relationship is ending before it really got started. I got my feelings hurt a lot last week, and again yesterday, and it seems like a constant stream of emotional stress is being poured onto my head without me being able to do anything about it. Admittedly, the other person is also under a lot of stress from a different reason, but that doesn't make it okay to take it out on me, right?I don't mind listening to people rant/vent, as in talking TO me, but not when I'm getting ranted/vented AT. Just when I feel like I'm closer to getting over it, I get knocked back down again. Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

I know that there were times when I probably should've tried to pay more attention to how I behaved, but I tried my best to help them when they needed me. For example, I rushed over to their place when I got a drunken text because I was really worried and I felt bad for being preoccupied with my cousin, and when I got there, all I got in return was a series of drunken insults and laughs at my expense. After that, I had a really long talk and I thought we worked things out, but a similar thing happened yesterday. It makes me wonder whether I should just stop trying.

It hurts because I really care about this person, SO much. Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

So I guess I'll just have to be like Po from Kung Fu Panda 2 and try to find some inner peace. Wish me luck!

PS: Super sorry for the ridiculously long post. I just really needed to get it off my chest.

The Dreaded Engine Light

Hey Everybody, guess what? It's that time of year again!

That's right, it's now time to get me a smog check, and my check engine light is on. The dude at the auto place next to K-Mart said I couldn't get a smog check till I got my light fixed, so I went to Firestone to get an oil change and tire rotation for $15 (thank you, coupon!) After waiting for FIVE hours to get my oil and tires done, I went to pick up my car only to find that not only was the light still on, but I had to replace my two front tires, fix the axle, and a whole bunch of other junk that would cost me an arm and leg. They also couldn't do the tire rotation because I need new tires.

I am an independent college student. I cannot afford this crap. Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

So today I frantically searched the interwebs in the hope that I could get FREE stuff done to my car. Autozoze resets your check engine light for free! I went to the one by my place and was told something dreadful. "Sorry, we don't do check engine stuff in California. Try AAMCO. They'll do it for $50."

So now, I am just going to do what I should've done in the first place and get all my stuff done at Lam's Auto Garage in Montery Park. He's an old buddy of the family so I get discounts!

Dammit California, what is your issue with people and driving?

All Aboard the Band Wagon Express!

Hello to all of you out there in Blog Land!Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

Yes, I have done it. I have finally boarded the Band Wagon that is internet blogging and made my own! I blame my crazy cousin for making super-hilarious posts on his blog and infecting me with this potentially crippling disease. Hopefully I will be able to post interesting things on here for your viewing pleasure.

In case you're wondering about the blog name, it's because I absolutely LOVE red velvet. It is quite possibly the love of my life. Give me red velvet and I will give you my eternal devotion.Tuzki Bunny Emoticon

Anyway, that's all for now. Next time will hopefully be less boring.
