K-Town Trippin'

Its finally WINTER BREAK!!!!!!!! FACK.

I just pulled 4 all-nighters so that I could get crap done for my classes (2 projects for the same teacher). You know when you do projects, there's always that ONE PERSON who's a crap group member? I had one in BOTH CLASSES. OMFG.

But that's okay, because ITS OVER. YES.

To kick off winter break, me, my siblings, cousin, boyfriend and my cousin's boyfriend went on a trip to K-town for KBBQ and dessert. Wednesday night there was an accident involving a gas truck on the 60 highway, so there was MAJOR traffic on our way there (we took the 10 W). And then we had to take a detour to get to the restaurant because the road I wanted to take was closed, and you KNOW taking a detour in LA is a bad idea.

It took us an hour to get to a restaurant that normally takes me 30 minutes tops.

We went to Ma Dang Sae BBQ, where the parking was craptastic (we had to bribe a valet in the next parking lot so we could park there. :D). We stuffed our faces with beef, pork, and brisket for the next 1 1/2 hours before we almost burst, and then we went on our way to eat dessert.

There's this fabulous place in Korea Town on 6th St. called HAUS Dessert Boutique, which I went to with my classmates after dinner one time. They are famous for their crepe cake, which always manages to run out when I go, so it was no surprise when I asked and they didn't have it again! I think I need to go during the middle of the week or something. Instead, we ordered these:

My sister Elizabeth ordered the Dulce de Leche cake, which tasted like a caramel cheesecake. It probably was.
My other sister Justine ordered the HAUS Hot Chocolate. Its hot chocolate, so not much to say. We think the art on top is probably a garlic bulb. Or an onion.
Melissa and Ricky (her man! Lol), order the Petite Boston Cream Pie. In her words, "it was too filling."
Elizabeth and I shared a Pomegranate-Blueberry Tea.
I ordered the Chocolate Truffle. Its basically a chocolate cheesecake with fudge topping and a brownie crust. Too much chocolate! I'm probably not going to order this again (it was good though).

The waitress was really nice and gave us complementary ice cream since they ran out of crepe cake and this milk-shaved ice that Elizabeth wanted.

Total bill: $37.09

Don't come here unless you have money. And only come for the crepe cake or the tea (its AMAZING).

Overall, we had a pretty good night. Got home around 10pm (even with traffic), and am now food-coma-ing.

Until next time!

Everyday I'm Nuzlocke-ing!

Hey there everybody, I haven't updated my blog in FOREVER.

So right now its finals time at school and I have a butt-load of work to do before I go on break, and I am THIS close to ripping my hair out because one professor I have is high/mighty and unreasonable. He gives stupid excuses for the amount of work he assigns.

"I'm a UC teacher! I teach like this all the time, so just because this is a junior college doesn't mean you guys get less work."

PSH.

Dude, even if I do go to community college, its a COMMUNITY college for a REASON.

I have this guy for 2 classes. He assigns the same project for both, and his History class is essay format.

FML.

On a different note, I have FINALLY started to work on my Pokemon Nuzlocke challenge. For those of you who don't know what this is, its a normal game of Pokemon with different rules.

The basic rules are:
1)Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
2)The player may only catch the first Pokemon encountered in each area and none else. If the first Pokemon encountered flees or faints, there are no second chances.
Info courtesy of Bulbapedia

You also typically name your Pokemon when you catch them. BTW, I'm doing HeartGold version.

I also managed to finish some art of my current team, which I have been meani
ng to do for AGES. Check out the others on my deviantart account: fenghuanglady

They are: Sulien the Eevee, Faith the Dratini, and Amaretto the Flaaffy. All artwork was done on OneMotion Sketch with a mouse (like a BOSS. A poor boss who can't currently afford a graphic tablet. You know what to get me for Xmas.)

You can make your own art at OneMotion by clicking on this link here:

Until next time!
